Anna B. Berezny of Calverton died May 2, 2026, at Acadia. She was 94 years old.
Born Dec. 13, 1931, in Battry, Belarus, she was the daughter of Andrew and Anna (Wanat) Kitinsky. She was a homemaker. Her hobbies and interests included farming, picking local vegetables, cooking, crocheting and hosting holiday dinners.
She was predeceased by her husband, William, in 1996. She is survived by her children, William J. of Calverton, Charles J. of Calverton, Ann Marie Woodhull (Robert) of Jamesport, Ronald J. of Calverton, and Marie Carol Hiltunen (Steve) of Calverton; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A funeral service will be held Monday, May 11, at 10 a.m. at St. John’s Ukrainian Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Calverton National Cemetery.
Arrangements were entrusted to the care of McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead.
