Man hospitalized after being stabbed

A Queens man was charged with assault after stabbing another man in Woodmere on Tuesday, April 28, according to Nassau County Police.

Andy Miller was charged with two counts of assault and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon, police said.

Two male employees of Spray Foam Insulation USA got into a verbal argument while working at a home on Woodmere Boulevard North, police said. The argument escalated and the Miller displayed a knife and stabbed the victim in the abdomen, which left a deep laceration, and also in the forearm, police said.

Officers arrested Miller without incident, and the victim was taken to a hospital where he was listed in stable condition, police said.

Officer hospitalized after burglary incident

A Westbury woman was charged with burglary after an incident at a store in East Garden City on Tuesday, April 28, according to Nassau County Police.

Angela McCallum was charged with burglary, attempted robbery, petit larceny, assault, obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest, police said.

McCallum entered Victoria’s Secret, located at 630 Old Country Road, where she selected and concealed various items inside a shopping bag and proceeded to leave the store without paying, police said. Officers located McCallum in the parking lot and attempted to place her under arrest, but she became violent and combative, and attempted to remove an officer’s taser, police said.

One of the officers was taken to a hospital after the incident, police said.
