Rudy Giuliani advised Donald Trump during his 2016 presidential campaign
After news broke that former mayor of New York City, Rudy Giuliani, had been admitted to the hospital, the president issued a swift message of support via his Truth Social account. Writing about Giuliani in the past tense, Trump wrote: "HE WAS RIGHT ABOUT EVERYTHING."
Trump’s post went live late on Sunday night, as he wrote, “Our fabulous Rudy Giuliani, a True Warrior, and the Best Mayor in the History ofNew York City, BY FAR, has been hospitalized, and is in critical condition.”
He added, “What a tragedy that he was treated so badly by the Radical Left Lunatics, Democrats ALL — AND HE WAS RIGHT ABOUT EVERYTHING! They cheated on the Elections, fabricated hundreds of stories, did anything possible to destroy our Nation, and now, look at Rudy. So sad! President DONALD J. TRUMP."It comesafter Trump was caught on camera doing a shocking act to Melania at an inappropriate moment.
81-year-old Rudy Giuliani, an ally of Trump’s, was hospitalized on Sunday and is said to be in a ‘critical but stable’ condition. A spokesperson released an update calling Giuliani a “fighter” but did not disclose exactly why he had been admitted.
Spokesperson Ted Goodman wrote on social media, “Mayor Giuliani is a fighter who has faced every challenge in his life with unwavering strength, and he’s fighting with that same level of strength as we speak. We do ask that you join us in prayer for America’s Mayor Rudy Giuliani.”
Rudolph Giuliani and Donald Trump attend the NYC 2000 Fashion Show on August 13, 1999 in Times Square, New York City.
Giuliani had just hosted his online show, “America’s Mayor Live”, on Friday night inFlorida, during which he said his voice was “a little under theweather”. Last year, he was also hospitalized after a car crash in New Hampshire.
Trump and Giuliani have supported each other for decades, and in 2018, Giuliani, a former lawyer, represented the president in the ongoing investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election.
Trump donated to Giuliani’s New York City mayoral campaign in 1989 and, strangely, also to his opponent, David Dinkins, who ultimately won the race.
