The states ofWest Bengaland Assam on Monday witnessed a saffron tsunami as results of the recently concluded Assembly elections unfolded. In Bengal, theBJPwas finally able to unseatTrinamool Congress(TMC)-led 15-year rule while in Assam, it won its third consecutive election. While counting of votes is still underway, but according to the Election Commission of India (ECI), the BJP has won nearly 90 seats, leading on over 110 and is all set to form the next government in Bengal. In Assam, the BJP has already won 72 seats and is leading on 10 more, way more than required for the majority mark and claim the government formation. In Puducherry also, the NDA alliance comprising the All India NR Congress and BJP, are on way to win 17 seats, one more than required for the magic numbers.

As this round of Assembly elections in four states and one Union Territory races towards its inclusion, let's take a look at how many states in the country will have BJP and NDA CMs.

After today's elections, an overall 17 states in the country will now have BJP Chief Ministers' while five other states would be having NDA Chief Ministers.
