The counting for the Assembly Elections 2026 is currently underway, and the picture is almost clear. On one hand, where the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is on its way to uproot theTrinamool Congressfrom West Bengal, on the other, the debutant "Thalapathy" Vijay's Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVL) pulled up a big surprise in Tamil Nadu.

Kerala is also witnessing the return of the Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) in Keralam. If we talk about Assam, the BJP is on its way to forming the government for the third consecutive time and possibly the second term for Himanta Biswa Sarma. In Puducherry also, the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA).

Suvendhu Adhikari: BJP's frontrunner for the CM post in West Bengal, Suvendu Adhikari, in his first reaction to his party's victory in the assembly polls, exuded confidence in winning 180 seats. "The BJP will form the government with more than 180 seats," he said.

Adhikari also claimed that the educated people and Hindus voted for the saffron party. "BJP is forming the government with a clear mandate. The educated, Hindu people of Kolkata have rejected Mamata Banerjee," he stated.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sar is also yet to respond.

Meanwhile, Congress leaders KC Venugopal and V.D. Satheesan have reached the KPCC headquarters at and kicked off celebrations as early trends signal a massive victory for the Congress-led UDF in the Kerala Assembly elections!

As per the latest trends, the BJP is set to form a government in West Bengal. The saffron party is ahead in 1993 seats, while Mamata Banerjee's TMC is just ahead in 96 seats. The Congress has failed to open the account.

In Tamil Nadu, the debutant TVK breached the duopoly of the DMK and the AIADMK. Thalapathy Vijay-led party is on its way to achieving a majority mark. As per the latest trends, the party is leading in 110 seats. Meanwhile, the AIADMK is ahead in 70 seats, and the DMK has slipped to third spot with the lead on 57 seats.

In Kerala, the UDF is on the verge of dethroning the Left Democratic Front (LDF) after 10 years. As for the latest trends, the UDF is leading in 95 seats, and the LDF is ahead in just 39 seats.

In Assam, the BJP, under the leadership of Himanta Biswa Sarma, is close to achieving the 100-mark. As per the latest trends, the BJP is ahead in 98 seats and the Congress in 25 seats.
