Burglary suspects fleeing police crashed into a Metro bus near downtown Los Angeles Friday, injuring at least four people
Officers requested backup just before noon for a burglary in progress near Third Street and Huntley Drive, an LAPD spokesperson said.
Moments later, the speeding suspects crashed into an MTA bus near the intersection of 6th Street and Bixel Street.
Paramedics transported two people from the suspect vehicle to hospitals in serious condition, Los Angeles Fire Department officialstold KTLA.
Two others were transported to hospitals in fair condition, fire officials said.All the suspects were in custody, police said.
Images of the scene showed a silver SUV with a mangled front end sitting in the middle of the intersection surrounded by crash debris. An orange Metro bus was stalled nearby with its doors open.
