A 45-year-old man who had recently returned from the United States died after allegedly jumping from the eighth floor of a residential building inGurugram’s Sector 65, police said on Sunday. The deceased, identified as Nishant, was living in M3M Emerald Hills Society. According to police, he had come back to Gurugram on April 28 and was reportedly under stress due to personal issues.

Police said Nishant had been working in the US along with his wife, while his parents stayed in Gurugram. He had been married for around 12 years. Preliminary findings suggest that he had been facing marital problems, which may have affected his mental health. The incident occurred on Saturday at around 7.30 pm when Nishant allegedly jumped from the eighth floor of his residential society.

Police teams reached the spot after receiving information and shifted the body for post-mortem examination. The body was later handed over to the family. Officials said no suicide note was recovered from the scene. A senior police officer confirmed that an investigation is underway to ascertain all aspects of the case.
So far, the family has not raised any allegations against anyone in connection with the incident, police added.
