Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) officers responded to the 4000 block of North Park Avenue, near North College Avenue and 38th Street, shortly after midnight on Saturday, over reports of a person who was shot.

When officers arrived at the rental, they found at least one gunshot victim on the scene.

Two additional victims later walked into the nearby Methodist Hospital with gunshot wounds.

All four shooting victims are believed to have been shot at the same location.

A fifth person was injured while trying to flee the scene, but they were not shot.

IMPD confirmed the gathering was a large post-prom house party at a short-term rental home that drew a significant crowd, including many teenagers.

Investigators said a dispute broke out among some of the attendees before the shooting erupted.

One adult female victim was killed at the scene, transported to a hospital, and later pronounced dead.

The Marion County Coroner’s Office will release the identity of the deceased once the next of kin have been notified.

The conditions of the three surviving gunshot victims have not been made public, but at least one of them is in critical condition, according to areportfrom local station WTHR.
