It’s time to celebrate spring with the Rotary Club of Riverhead’s giant plant sale this week at Tanger Outlets.

Now in its 30th year, the East End Garden Festival offers everything from trees and shrubs to perennials and flats of annuals. The plants have been donated by growers and the event is run by volunteers, so that all proceeds from the sale benefit Riverhead Rotary Charities, Operation International medical mission and Peconic Bay Medical Center.

The garden festival opened Sunday and takes place every day this week, from 9 a.m. till 5 p.m. through Saturday and from 9 a.m. to about 2 p.m. on Sunday, Mothers Day, May 10. The festival is set up in the parking lot of Tanger 3, off Route 58.
