At least four people, including a pensioner, have been taken to hospital with gunshot wounds after an 'indiscriminate' shooting took place in SouthLondonon Sunday. A 33-year-old man was also found with multiple stab wounds around 700 metres away from the scene where gunfire was heard. Police are investigating the possibility that both the shooting and stabbing are linked.
According to reports, the indiscriminate shooting took place at the Brixton drive-by area. Among those who were wounded, a 25-year-old man was rushed to the emergency room in a life-threatening condition. Others who have been injured are aged 21, 47, and 70 with non-life-threatening injuries.
An investigation has been launched to ascertain whether the Brixton shooting and a stabbing incident that took place an hour later nearby were related.
Cops told local media that they received calls around 1:14 AM early Saturday of shots being fired from a vehicle in Coldharbour Lane, Brixton. Almost an hour later, they received another call of a stabbing incident at a nearby Acre Lane.
