Babar Azamwas brutally trolled after leaving out Indian players from his ODI World XI. Babar was asked to name his world XI with the condition to pick two players from top teams, and surprisingly, none of the Indian players made the list. India are arguably the best team in the world currently, and won three back-to-back ICC titles, including two T20 World Cups and an ICC Champions Trophy. They also won all games played against Pakistan in the aforementioned tournaments, but Babar Azam was not impressed, it seems. EvenVirat Kohli, who holds almost every major record in ODI cricket, was not considered, inviting heavy trolling for Babar.
Meanwhile, Babar picked Travis Head and Mitchell Marsh from Australia, as openers, while Aiden Markram and Kagiso Rabada made it from South Africa. From New Zealand, Babar picked Rachin Ravindra and Mitchell Santner, and Harry Brook and Jofra Archer were picked from England. Babar selected Shaheen Afridi and Mohammad Rizwan from Pakistan, and Rashid Khan was the only Afghan to make the list.
After the video went viral, Babar was brutally trolled on social media, and even Pakistan fans pointed out that there can't be an ODI team without Virat Kohli.
Meanwhile, Babar has played a significant role in taking Zalmi to the final. With 588 runs in two games, including two centuries, Babar is the leading run scorer of the season. He'd be keen to lead Zalmi to the title and end the tournament on a high note.
