Hundreds are descending on Culver City as IKEA officially opened it’s first LA-area ‘city-center’ location at its long-awaited newHelms Design Districtlocation.

Eager shoppers flooded the massive blue-and-yellow outpost on Saturday for opening-day deals, exploring home treasures, and joining in onfamily-friendlyfestivities.

Snapshots from the scene captured throngs of fans buzzing around, lining up outside the sprawling 38,000-square-foot space as the Swedish furniture giant welcomed its newest guests.

The grand opening celebration kicked off with a block party, complete with giveaways, music, and plenty of IKEA’s signature staples — including its iconic meatball dish, which remains a major draw for loyal customers.

The Post spoke to employee Gustavo Tinajero who’s been with IKEA for 32 years.

“I love it. I’m so excited for the new store. if something is out of stock, we can have it in our store for customers the next day so the they don’t have to drive further out to pick up a product,” he said, with his daughter Nadia by his side.

Inside, shoppers got to explore thousands of urban-friendly products, with over 3,000 items ready to grab and go, while taking in the sleek showrooms and curated small-space designs.

Melanie, 30, told The Post she recently moved to Los Angeles from South Carolina.

“My mom and I really wanted to check out the new location and decorate my apartment. It’s nice that we don’t have to driveto Carson or Burbank to do it.”
