Rep. Wesley Hunt (R-TX) delivered one of the responses of the year after getting ambushed on the streets Wednesday by a despicable and race-baiting far-left hack masquerading as a journalist.

Pablo Manríquez, a so-called ‘reporter’ for the far-left media companyMeidasTouch, decided to try to embarrass the Texas Congressman, who happens to be African-American, with a bad-faith question about Black Republicans in Congress.

“There’s been a lot of talk how there won’t be any Black Republican members in the new term,” Manríquez asked. “What do you make of that?”

This gotcha attempt turned to be a big mistake because Hunt’s response was absolutely perfect.

“Nothing,” Hunt said. “I don’t understand how that’s relevant.”

Manríquez then tried to entrap him again by blubbering about this being a recruitment problem. But Hunt remain undeterred.

“I don’t think it’s a problem with anything,” he fired back. “I’m not here because I’m black.”

“I’m here because I’m a qualified representative of Texas Congressional District 38 and the American people choose who they want to choose,” he added. “The one thing I don’t want to get into is this game of race-bait all day, every day.”

Hunt concluded by noting he represents a white majority district that Trump won and said this proves he’s being judged based on his qualifications, which is how things ought to be.

“We are talking about who is the best person to fill a seat regardless of the way that they look, Hunt said. “I won by 25 points the last time I ran (in a white majority district Trump won) I’m being judged not by the color of my skin but by the content of my character.”
