Hyderabad Kingsmenbowler Mohammad Ali namedroppedRahul Dravidafter his team qualified for thePakistan Super League(PSL) final. PSL 2026 Eliminator saw one of the best matches of the season as Hyderabad Kingsmen pulled off a heist against Islamabad United. Kingsmen were down and out before the last over, with Islamabad United needing just five runs to win, but Hunain Shah bowled a magnificent over and gave away just three runs to pull off a magnificent win. The entire team, including captain Marnus Labuschagne, celebrated wildly after the stunning victory.

During the post-match interview, Mohammad Ali said that Hunain failed to defend 14 against Peshawar Zalmi, but defended three runs against Islamabad United, showing that hard work always pays off. He quoted Rahul Dravid to back his remarks. "Well, it's very difficult to describe this moment in words. I'm completely speechless after bowling such a bad over. All the credit goes to Hunain. The way he bowled the last over, keep his composure and keep us in the game till the last ball. After bowling that over, I was a bit down, but still, I believe in Hunain because the way he bowled throughout the whole tournament is superb and tremendous.

"Well, I'm really proud of himself because the game in which he bowled the last over against Peshawar Zalmi, he had to save 14 runs, but he was unable to save those 14 runs. And today, I think that it's his hard work and thegreat Rahul Dravid says that luck always comes to those who really work hard," he said.

The Kingsmen batted first and scored 186-5 in 20 overs, with Usman Khan making 61 and Maaz Sadaaqat, Saim Ayub and Kusal Perera scoring 39, 39 and 37, respectively. In reply, Islamabad United was struggling at 68-4 in the 11th over before Mark Chapman and Haider Ali got the team back in the hunt.

They added 64 runs in 33 balls and put United ahead. Haider Ali and Chapman fell in the 16th and 18th over, respectively, but with Faheem Ashraf and Chris Green at the crease, things looked gloomy for Hyderabad. Mohammad Ali gave away 22 runs in the penultimate over, leaving just five for Hunain to defend, which he did successfully.
