A report from last week revealed that he had evenout-raised current LA mayor Karen Bass, pulling in nearly $540,000 since January.

That sum barely put him ahead of another rival, Nithya Raman, who raised $530,000 in the first three months of 2026, and Bass, whose fundraising efforts totaled $495,000.

However, Bass does have a $2.3 million war chest from previous contributions over the past two years, which far out-paces her competitors.
