As we have detailed with facts and data since Israel and the United States launched the Iran War two months ago, equity markets go up and oil prices go down following President Donald Trump’s statements – which have been proven false – that the U.S. defeated Iran and/or there is a ceasefire deal.
Here are just a few of the scores of lies:
∙4 MARCH:Pete Hegseth told reporters that the Iranians are “toast and they know it.” He said the war with Iran was never intended to be a “fair fight and it’s not a fair fight.”
He said the U.S. is punching Iran “while they’re down.”
∙6 MARCH:Trumppostedon Truth Social: “There will be no deal with Iran except UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER!”
∙11 MARCH:Trump said the U.S. won the war. “You never like to say too early you won. We won. In the first hour it was over. We don’t want to leave early, do we?”he said.“We got to finish the job.”
∙26 MARCH:Trump told a Cabinet meeting: Iran was “defeated, they can’t make a comeback.” He continued: “We’ve won this war. This war has been won.”
And the bullshit just keeps spewing out, as evidenced by U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent who said yesterday that “the surviving IRGC Leaders are trapped like drowning rats in a sewage pipe.”
What ignorance and childish moronic language.
