In a chilling account from Maharashtra’s Thane, one of the survivors of Monday’s stabbing attack revealed disturbing details of the assault. The accused, 31-year-old Zaib Zubair Ansari, allegedly targeted two security guards, identified as Rajkumar Mishra and Subroto Ramesh Sen, while they were on duty, first questioning their religious identity before launching the attack. Speaking to Times Now Navbharat, survivor Subroto Sen said Ansari allegedly asked whether they were Hindu and demanded that Mishra recite the Kalma. When he refused, the attacker allegedly stabbed them, leaving investigators probing the possible motive behind the brutal assault.

Sen further said that it was "shocking for all of us", adding that this has never happened to him. "I didn't even know something like this could ever happen."

A day after a 31-year-old man allegedly attacked two security guards with a knife in Maharashtra's Thane, the Times Now team reached the residence of the accused, Zaib Zubair Ansari, and found chilling details behind the attack. There was a sticker pasted on the wall, with step-by-step prayer and religious ritual instructions on it.

The doorstep investigators are using it as the evidence, probing possible behavioral conditioning, a pattern of digital radicalisation, and exposure to extremist online content linked to the case.

As the Times Now team reached the residence of the accused, they found a sticker note pasted on the door of his house, which had been sealed by Maharashtra ATS.

On the sticker, it was instructed that visitors recite "Qulo Allahu Ahad x3", followed by the "Durood Sharif" once. Then it was written "Bismillah", Do Salam, and then Enter. This is precisely what is written on the door of the accused, Ansari.

It basically establishes the fact that he was completely radicalised. This has been confirmed by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, who also stated that the NIA will be joining the case. The Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has taken over the probe, and officials said a possible religious angle is being looked into, though the exact motive is still unclear. Sources said some incriminating materials were found on the accused’s phone, and agencies are also checking whether he was planning a "lone wolf" attack.
