4 arrested, taken into ICE custody
Four people were arrested in Hempstead on Wednesday, April 22, and taken into custody by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents, according to Nassau County Police.
Qin Zhao of Queens and Yi Lin of Brooklyn were both charged with prostitution and unauthorized practice of a profession, police said.
Yuhang Jiang of Queens was charged with attempted criminal possession of a controlled substance, police said.
Hongyan Fang of Queens was charged with unauthorized practice of a profession, police said.
An investigation was conducted at Lilac Spa, 391 W. Peninsula Blvd., and No.8 Beauty Spa, 725 Fulton Ave., which determined that illegal massages and prostitution were taking place at these locations, police said.
Zhao, Lin, Jiang and Fang were all arrested without incident, police said.
Man charged with committing multiple crimes across county
A Rockville Centre man was arrested after allegedly committing multiple crimes across Nassau County, according to Nassau County Police.
Brian Quinn was charged with robbery, attempted robbery, and grand larceny, police said.
