An accident involving a motorcycle occurred at CR 105 and Union Avenue just before 8 a.m. today sent the operator to Peconic Bay Medical Center and closed the roadway for an accident investigation.
Riverhead Volunteer Ambulance Corps transported the male operator of the motorcycle to Peconic Bay Medical Center. No further information about the crash or the condition of the injured man was immediately available.
Cross River Drive (County Road 105) was closed between Main Road and Northville Turnpike in Riverhead for over an hour this morning, as police conducted an accident investigation.
