Saying, “enough is enough,” First Lady Melania Trump called on the ABC television network to “take a stand” on late night host Jimmy Kimmel after he made an assassination joke about her and her husband President Donald Trump, saying she looked like an “expectant widow.”
Kimmel, who has waged a years-long nasty personal feud with President Trump, is host of the long-running late night show, “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” ABC suspended Kimmel for several days last September over comments he made falsely blaming Trump supporters for the assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk that month.
On Thursday’s show, Kimmel gave a mock White House Correspondents’ Dinner comedy speech in which he he made the Trump assassination comment as well as going after Trump’s children and senior officials with comments that put a target on them that could trigger unhinged individuals–as happened on Saturday when a 31-year-old formerly mild-mannered ‘teacher of the month’ tried to assassinate President Trump and other officials at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner in Washington, D.C.
“And of course, our first lady, Melania, is here. Look at Mel, so beautiful. Mrs. Trump, you have a glow like an expectant widow.
You know, Melania’s birthday is on Sunday. That’s right. She’s uh, planning to celebrate at home the same way she always does, looking out a window and whispering, “What have I done?
As you’re all aware, Melania is a movie star now. Her documentary had a score of 10% on Rotten Tomatoes, which is a website named after her husband’s testicles.”
