Former Democrat President Barack Obama posted to social media Sunday, claiming the motive of White House Correspondent’s Dinner shooter Cole Tomas Allen is unknown.
“Although we donât yet have the details about the motives behind last night’s shooting at the White House Correspondents Dinner, itâs incumbent upon all us to reject the idea that violence has any place in our democracy,” he wrote. “Itâs also a sobering reminder of the courage and sacrifice that U.S. Secret Service Agents show every day. Iâm grateful to them â and thankful that the agent who was shot is going to be okay.”

The message overtly omitted any mention of President Trump’s well-being and failed to directly call out violent leftists.
Obama also falsely claimed that the shooterâs motive remains unknown, even though Allen sent an anti-Trump manifesto to family members shortly before the attack and had a documented history of anti-MAGA views.

Allen “was part of a group called âThe Wide Awakesâ and attended a âNo Kingsâ protest in California at some point.”
