The Democrat mayor, who previously boasted about striking some kind of deal with Border Czar Tom Homan that would supposedly end President Trump's immigration enforcement surge in his sanctuary city, was forced to admit on MSNBC Thursday night that no such deal ever existed.
That's right, folks - another Democrat politician got caught lying through his teeth to score cheap political points with his radical base, only to have reality come crashing down around him.
Speaking on "All In," a visibly uncomfortable Frey tried to walk back his earlier claims, admitting that "no deal was made" with Homan. This comes after the mayor had been strutting around Minneapolis acting like he'd somehow outsmarted the Trump administration and protected his precious illegal immigrant population.
What Frey didn't count on was Tom Homan's team actually doing their jobs and calling out his lies for what they were - desperate political theater from a failing Democrat mayor watching his sanctuary city policies crumble in real time.
The Trump administration's immigration enforcement surge continues full steam ahead in Minneapolis, exactly as planned. No backroom deals, no special treatment for sanctuary cities, and certainly no negotiations with mayors who put illegal immigrants ahead of American citizens.
This embarrassing episode perfectly illustrates why President Trump won such a decisive victory in 2024. Americans are sick and tired of Democrat mayors like Frey who lie, pander, and prioritize foreign nationals over their own constituents.
While Frey scrambles to explain his deception to his radical supporters, ICE agents continue their vital work of removing dangerous criminals and immigration violators from American communities. That's what actual leadership looks like.
