New reports indicate that many iPhone users are experiencing an annoying issue related to accessing Reddit. When explaining the issue, UK iPhone users on Reddit reported receiving an “Age-appropriate experiences in Apps” error message. The Apple age verification prompt continues to pop up every time, keeping the users from accessing Reddit.
The pop-up simply asked the users to prove they’re adults by sharing their age range through theaccount settings. If you don’t know, the “Age-appropriate experiences in Apps” feature went live last month in the UK. The feature came with the latest iOS 26.4 update, which Apple rolled out in March. According to theaffected Redditorsin the UK, tapping the “Continue” button always ends up bringing up the screen.
Since the issue involves adding an age range, many users quickly tried updating their details. However, tapping “Update Birthday” still didn’t help to resolve the issue. Users get email updates from Apple that their DOB has been updated. However, when they tap on the “Continue button,” the prompt still keeps returning to the screen.
Further checks on ther/ios threadindicate that the issue, in which UK iPhone users get the “Age-appropriate experiences in Apps” prompt, only affects Reddit. The initial pop-up can be bypassed using a VPN. However, this doesn’t stop the looping issue in account settings.
Apple is also aware of this issue, according to some affected users. A UK iPhone user said he was in a full remotesession with Apple, and that some troubleshooting steps were suggested, including a phone reset. However, none of them helped to address the issue.
Another user mentioned a fix that helped him overcome the issue. He said: “In the end, the fix was updating my iPhone… I was one update behind. Once I did that, I could go into settings and confirm my age when pressing continue.” After updating the software, the user tapped “Continue,” and the system automatically confirmed the age range because of his old Apple account.
Apple hasn’t rolled out any update to address the “Age-appropriate experiences in Apps” issue affecting UK iPhone Reddit users. Anytime the Apple team drops any information on the issue, we’ll keep you posted.
