Ruturaj Gaikwad joined MS Dhoni in an elite list topped by MS Dhoni. The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain remained inbeaten on 74 off 60 balls as the home team put on a total of 158/7 on the board. He hit 4 sixes and six 4s in his knock. He joined Dhoni in an exclusive CSK club and became the fourth batter to hit 100 sixes for the Yellow Army. With 234 sixes, Dhoni tops the list. He is the only CSK batter with more than 200 sixes. He made his IPL debut for CSK in 2008.

Suresh Raina sits in the second position. The former CSK vice-captain hit 180 sixes for them. He played 11 seasons for CSK. Raina went unsold in the IPL 2022 mega-auction and is now retired from the league.

Shivam Dube has 106 sixes for CSK and is in the third spot. He is playing only his fifth season for the franchise. Shivam relies more on hitting sixes and has a strike rate of 150.46.

Wtih 101 sixes, Ruturaj is in the fourth position. He joined CSK in the IPL 2019 mini-auction. He remained on the bench in 2019. The opening batter only got to play in the last few matches of IPL 2020.

Ruturaj proved his worth in IPL 2021 and piled up 635 runs in 16 matches to win the Orange Cap. Courtesy of his performance, CSK went on to win the IPL 2021 trophy.

He was retained before the IPL 2022 and 2025 mega-auctions. Ruturaj replaced Dhoni as CSK's captain before IPL 2024. They haven't made it to the second round since his appointment.

CSK finally registered their first win of the season against Delhi Capitals (DC). They defeated Kolkata Knight Riders in their next fixture. CSK failed to continue their form and lost to Sunrisers Hyderabad in their sixth match.
