The brother of the mansuspected of attempting to kill President Trumpat the White House Correspondents’ Dinner has said he contacted the police to warn them about his brother’s manifesto.

Cole Thomas Allen’s brother called the New London Police Department at 10.50pm on Saturday, just two hours after the attempted assassination.

The would-be assassin allegedly sent his brother the manifesto minutes before storming the dinner.

Initially, police reported that someone had called to express “concern” and share information “pertinent to the matter,” but it was quickly revealed the caller was Cole Allen’s brother.

It appears the brother may have attempted to report the manifesto before the attack as well.

On Saturday night, President Trump said Allen’s family contacted police before the shooting.

New London Police, however, have said they only received a call after the event.

In the manifesto, Allen wrote, “I am a citizen of the United States of America. What my representatives do reflects on me. And I am no longer willing to permit a pedophile, rapist, and traitor to coat my hands with his crimes.”
