AsDelhihas been experiencing warmer afternoons over the past few days, a light mist in the early hours continues to bring a chill in the mornings. With daytime temperatures gradually rising, the national capital now appears to be bidding farewell to the harsher phase of the season. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the minimum temperature is expected to hover around 11 degrees Celsius, while the maximum may climb to 27 degrees Celsius on Friday (February 13). The weather department has also forecast misty conditions today, especially during the morning hours.

Unlike Thursday’s clear skies,Delhiis likely to wake up to mist, followed by partly cloudy conditions later in the afternoon hours.

The IMD in its latest bulletin stated, "No large change in minimum temperatures during the next 24 hours and gradual rise by 2-3°C thereafter. Consequently, minimum temperatures are likely to be normal (-1.5°C to 1.5°C) during the next 24 hours and be above normal (1.6°C to 3.0°C) thereafter."

"Maximum temperatures are likely to be above normal (1.6°C to 3.0°C) to appreciably above normal (3.1°C to 5.0°C) during next 7 days," it added.

The IMD noted that the skies will be mainly clear on February 14 and 15, with partly cloudy skies on February 13 and 16, and generally cloudy skies on February 17 and 18.

Moreover, the temperatures are likely to remain unchanged this week, with warmer days ahead and misty mornings.

Delhi's air quality has significantly improved, with the AQI being recorded at 178, putting it in the "moderate" category for the second consecutive day. Yesterday (Thursday), the AQI was recorded at 164, bringing relief from the toxic air that has been continuing for the past few months.

According to the Sameer app, around 30 stations recorded "moderate" AQI, with none of the stations in the "very poor" category. While a few stations recorded "poor" air quality index. This is a major relief for Delhiites who have been breathing the poisonous, toxic air the entire winter.
