A shocking murder case has come to light from Surat, where a female dietician was allegedly killed by her husband. Police said her body was later found stuffed inside a wooden box at his old house in the Salabatpura area. The accused has been identified as Vishal Salvi, while the victim is Dr. Shilpa Salvi. According to police, the accused allegedly killed his wife on April 20. After the crime, he transported her body to his old house in Salabatpura.
Officials said he tried to hide the body by placing it inside a wooden box and pouring cement over it to avoid suspicion. Police said the couple lived with their son in the Godadara area of Surat and had been married for around 15 years.
Salabatpura police inspector RA Jadeja said the accused had earlier filed a missing complaint for his wife on April 20 at Godadara police station. However, suspicion grew when he later left a letter for his son and went missing. Based on the letter, police traced the woman’s body to the old house in Salabatpura.
Teams have been formed to search for the accused, who is currently absconding. Police said further investigation is ongoing to find out the reason behind the murder and whether anyone else was involved in the crime or in hiding the body.
