Vice-PresidentJD Vancewas also in attendance and was removed first. The incident has raised questions about the First Lady's safety and whether she should continue to attend events alongside the President, or if he should face the risk alone.

During a briefing held after the events, Mr Trump spoke abouthow his wife reacted to the chilling event. He said: "It's always shocking when something like this happens.
"The fact that we were sitting next to each other, the first lady on my right, and I heard a noise," before adding: "I heard a noise and kinda thought it was a tray going down."
However, he added, the First Lady immediately recognised the suspected gunshots as a "bad noise". He said, describing her reaction: "Melania was very cognizant."
Melania Trumpis widely described as anintensely private, enigmatic and fiercely independent woman who has guarded her personal life during both Mr Trump's first and current presidency.
Despite her public role, she has maintained a low profile, rarely appearing at political trials or events, and has worked to keep details of her life, disagreements and family matters out of the limelight. She also notably delayed her move to the White House to focus on her son,Barron Trump.
