The man who stormed the White House Correspondentsâ Dinner and opened firehas been identifiedas Cole Thomas Allen, a 31-year-old from California.
Allen hails from Torrance, California, close to Santa Monica, Los Angeles.
After graduating from the California Institute of Technology in 2017, Allen worked as a teacher while also developing video games.
In 2019, he registered the domain name âBohrdomâ for a game he made and released on Steam. It is described as a âskill-based, non-violent asymmetrical fighting game loosely derived from a chemistry model that is itself loosely based on reality.â

In 2025, he was awarded a master’s degree in computer science from âCalifornia â State University at Dominguez Hills.
On his LinkedIn page, Allen describes himself as a âmechanical engineer and computer scientist by degree, âindependent game developer by experience, teacher by birth.â
He lists his âCausesâ as âScience and Technology.â
The Los Angeles Timesis reporting that Allen made a $25 donation to ActBlue, a Democrat PAC, a month before Donald Trumpâs 2024 election win.
FEC filings show that was his only political donation in the last ten years.
