Burchett described one briefing relayed by a Navy admiral involving an object tracked underwater that measured nearly the size of a football field and traveled at speeds exceeding 200 miles per hour. “We don’t have anything of that capability or that size,” he said.
He added that materials he has personally reviewed include images and video depicting objects capable of sustained hovering and rapid directional changes. “I’ve seen pictures and video of things that defy any reason that we have,” Burchett said, rejecting explanations that such technology belongs to the United States or foreign adversaries.
In a separateappearance, Burchett reiterated the underwater account and said personnel who report such encounters are sometimes removed from active duty and subjected to psychological evaluations. He also questioned whether all relevant information will be made public.
“I feel like this is something that’s being held back for whatever reason,” he said. “I have no faith in our federal government will release any of this stuff.”
The comments follow recent statements by Trump indicating that disclosure is approaching. At a public event, the president said the initial release of documents would begin soon, according to The Hill.
