Aam Aadmi Party(AAP) convenor andDelhi's former Chief MinisterArvind Kejriwalon Saturday targeted the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) alleging that AAP’s social media pages including Facebook and Instagram were blocked. Kejriwal questioned the BJP asking why they were scared as he reported a message shared by the party’s Gujarat unit president Isudan Gadhvi. Taking to X, formerly Twitter, Arvind Kejriwal said, "Aam Aadmi Party's social media FB and Insta pages have been blocked in Gujarat. Why exactly? Why is BJP so scared?"
Earlier today, AAP’s Gujarat unit chief Gadhvi took to X and said, "The BJP in Gujarat is so terrified of the Aam Aadmi Party that now the AAP’s Gujarat Facebook and Instagram pages have also been shut down.”
"In the last one month, over 8 crore people have viewed AAP Gujarat's FACEBOOK and INSTAGRAM. These social media platforms were becoming the voice of the people of Gujarat, and an attempt has been made by the government to suppress this voice," Gadhvi said.
"If the BJP had done work for the people, there wouldn't have been any need to resort to all this. The people of Gujarat are sensible, they will give the BJP a fitting response to this dictatorship,” he added.
The development has come ahead of the local body elections in the state scheduled for Sunday and also at a time when the AAP is already at loggerheads with the BJP, after the party's Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha along with 6 other lawmakers merged with the saffron camp. The latter development has ignited a fresh slugfest between the two parties.
