IKEA isgoing small, but strategic, in Los Angeles.

The global giant is setto unveil a new urban-format storein Culver City’s Helm Design District, with doors officially set to open May 2.Located at 3225 A Helms Avenue, the 38,050-square-foot space marks the company’s 11th California location and its first city-center concept in LA.

Forget the sprawling blue-box warehouses.

This scaled-down outpost is designed with city living in mind, aiming to bring the IKEA experience closer to Westside residents who don’t want to trek to the suburbs.

The store will operate daily from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and sits conveniently near the 405 and 10 freeways.

Parking will be available within the Helms Design District, along with free spots across the street at Venice Boulevard and Helms Avenue.

Inside, the focus shifts to a “planning-led” approach.

Customers can book free one-on-one consultations for kitchens and bedrooms, while displays highlight solutions tailored to LA lifestyles.

While larger furniture items won’t be stocked on-site, shoppers can walk out with around3,000 smaller productsand 600 furniture pieces available for immediate purchase.

And if you’re hungrydon’t expect the classicfull-service IKEA restaurant.
