Inspiration was abound at Northside Elementary School in the Levittown School District on Friday, April 17 as a diverse range of career professionals visited the building to speak to students.

Outside the building, students enjoyed the sun as they were met with a firetruck, ambulance and garbage disposal truck along with the professionals who operate them.

Volunteers from the Levittown Fire Department showed off their gear and equipment used to save lives, while News12 meteorologist Rich Hoffman excited students as he described how he prepares for his live television reports.

There was more to explore inside, as classes were visited by individuals who represented an array of professions, from an attorney to a physical therapist and a bus mechanic.

Students were thrilled to view a demonstration by the Nassau County Police Department’s K9 Unit and participate in a lesson by martial artists.

Northside’s annual Career Day inspires students of all grades of the many possibilities available to them in the future.
