Three women were arrested in Massapequa on April 10 following an undercover investigation into alleged prostitution at a Jerusalem Avenue location, Nassau County police said.
According to the Police Department’s Narcotics/Vice Squad, detectives conducted an investigation at 150 Jerusalem Ave., where they determined that prostitution was taking place. Xiaomei Ye, 46, of Whitestone; Danping Yu, 62, of Amityville; and Yan Hua Lin, 45, of Flushing, were taken into custody without incident at about 4:55 p.m., police said.
Yu was charged with fourth-degree promoting prostitution and unauthorized practice of a profession and was scheduled to be arraigned April 11 at First District Court in Hempstead.
Ye and Lin were each charged with prostitution and unauthorized practice of a profession. Both were issued desk appearance tickets and are due to appear in First District Court on April 23, police said.
