Olympics fans itching to see the spectacle in Los Angeles in 2028 won’t have to wait much longer for the next opportunity to buy seats.
LA28 officials announced on Thursday a new crop of tickets will be available for purchase in August and“will include refreshed inventory across all Olympic sports at a range of price points.”
The process to get in line for the sale is a fairly simple one, according to event organizers.
Fans must register for the “Drop 2 LA28 Olympic Draw” attickets.LA28.orgby July 22, 2026, and then a random lottery will determine who gets the right to buy.
Officials said a maximum of 12 tickets to soccer events and an additional maximum of 12 tickets “to all other Olympic sports and events” will be in place.
Those who didn’t hit their maximums during the first drop will be eligible for Drop 2, event organizers said.
Ticket sales for the eventpreviously occurred earlier this month, and they weremet with controversy.
Fans complained of sky-high prices, with one, Aastha Jani, comparing the experience to trying to lock down tickets for Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour.
“Felt like reentering the Ticketmaster war,” she joked.
Others griped about sold-out events and “Access Denied” errors.
