Rechler Equity Partners held their official grand opening at their newest Greybarn project, Greybarn East Patchogue.
The project, formerly the Mediterranean Manor located at 46 East Main Street, broke ground in October of 2024.
“Wow, I can’t believe we’re standing in the old Mediterranean Manor,” said councilman Neil Foley, who helped move the project forward, noting that he has worked with the local civic with project ideas to change East Patchogue.
“This is an auspicious occasion; what started out as an idea at that we all attended the groundbreaking for, here we are now at a beautiful project that adds to community,” added Brookhaven Town supervisor Dan Panico, who also attended the ceremony.
The three-story building now features 91 luxury rental homes supported by modern amenities such as a resort-style pool, clubhouse, community kitchen, fitness center with a golf simulator, shared workspace, screening room and podcast studio.“It’s been such a pleasure to work on this project,” said Gregg Rechler, co-managing partner of Rechler Equity during the ceremony. “We’re very passionate about creating places like Greybarn East Patchogue. It really started because we were looking for a site in the area, we went into town hall. We really wanted to create this amazing overlay district and revitalize main street.”
Additionally, the developer has donated a one-acre lot to the Town of Brookhaven, which will become home to the Patchogue Arts Council. The council plans to use the space, located directly across from the development, for exhibits, live music performances and more.
