Royal Apparel, the Hauppauge-based wholesale clothing distributor, is expanding its operations while remaining in the area. The company recently purchased an additional property in Hauppauge that will serve as a new manufacturing facility.
Royal Apparel specializes in basic knitwear clothing items such as T-shirts, hoodies, leggings and sweatpants, as well as accessories such as tote bags, beanies and scarves. All items are sold blank so that they can be printed on by clients, who may use the designs for branded resale. The company’s products can be found as options on the major custom printing platform Custom Ink.
“We’re always looking to improve and grow the business to better serve our customers,”Morey Mayeri, Royal Apparel CEO and co-founder, said.“A quick turnaround is what’s gonna make us compete domestically.”
The goal of this new facility is to speed up the process of making clothing,Mayeri said. While the current Hauppauge location is the company’s headquarters and manufacturing site, the company also has warehouses in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and a distribution center in San Bernardino, California that opened in late 2025. While the company is currently based out of Hauppauge, it was founded in Manhattan in the early 1990s.
The new facility at 10 Commerce Drive in Hauppauge will serve as another building where the company’s processes of cutting, knitting and sewing are carried out and is planned to be up and running later this spring after minor renovations are made.
Royal Apparel’s commitment to producing products entirely in the United States inspired the release of its Americana clothing collection, centered around designs that feature red, white and blue coloring and flag imagery such as stars and stripes.
