The cause of death is not known at this time.

David Scott was seeking his 13th term in Congress amid concerns about his age.
Per Fox NewsreporterChad Pegram, there are currently five vacancies in the House: Late Rep. Doug LaMalfa (R-CA) and David Scott (D-GA) died. Former Reps. Eric Swalwell (D-CA), Tony Gonzales (R-TX) and Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick (D-FL) resigned.
