An empty lot in Malibu that was once Gigi and Bella Hadid’s childhood home, and later rented by Kylie Jenner, has sold for $6.5 million in an all-cash deal.
That’s almost half of its $11.99 million ask last October.
But it’s still a record price, post-2025 wildfires, for an empty lot in Malibu, listing brokers Aaron Kirman and Daniel Milstein, both of Christie’s International Real Estate Southern California, told Gimme Shelter.
The buyer is an American real estate investor who plans to build his personal dream house on the lot, the brokers told Gimme.
The new property “will be bigger and better than ever,” Kirman said, declining to reveal the buyer’s name.
Traded.cofirst reported the sale.
The former home, owned by David Foster and his ex-wife Yolanda Hadid, was at 3903 Carbon Canyon Road and sat on 3.25 acres. Foster and Hadid bought the home, known as Carbon Canyon Estate, for $4.5 million in 2007 — four years before their 2011 marriage. They divorced in 2017 and had listed the home for $35 million in 2024, before the devastatingPalisades Fire.
(On Monday, Yolanda Hadid also re-listed her family farm in Pennsylvania for $10.88 million after a previous deal fell through,The Post reported.)
“It’s one of the largest land sales in Malibu, bought by a savvy investor who understood the intrinsic value of the land, and sees what’s coming,” Kirman said.
“We hope to continue to sell the land parcels. The future of LA depends on it. People are building and investing again in Malibu and the Palisades. It will take some time, but it’s coming,” Kirman added.
