Investigators searching for the kidnapped son of a wealthy Ukrainian businessman uncovered grim remains in a popular holiday destination. A severed head, together with several other body parts retrieved by authorities, has been confirmed as belonging to Igor Komarov, who was snatched on February 15.
Evidence indicates that Igor's killers had been monitoring him for several weeks, successfully tracking him down through geolocation data taken fromInstagramposts shared by his influencer girlfriend, Yeva Mishalova. Before his death, a deeply disturbing video was uploaded by Igor's captors, demanding roughly £7 million in ransom for his safe return.

In the footage, the visibly injured 28-year-old begged for his life, saying: "They already chopped off some of my limbs, I have broken legs [and they] punched [my] ribcage. I'm already on meds, I already have no limbs."
In the recording, Igor warned that without urgent medical treatment, his wounds would turn septic, and stressed that his kidnappers could not be found before their deadline passed.
He went on: "Bring me home, what is left of me at the moment, please settle with these people, they need ten million dollars, which we stole. As soon as these 10 million are received in their accounts, they will immediately let me go to the place where they took me."
Igor had been riding motorbikes with a group of friends along a steep road in the northern part of the holiday island when armed attackers suddenly set upon them.
Some reports suggest that one of Igor's companions was also seized by the assailants and subsequently released following a ransom payment, but Igor appeared to be the kidnappers' primary target.
A fresh examination of the fatal abduction on true-crime channel Lazy Masquerade suggests that the attackers were able to track down Igor through Yeva's persistent social media activity.
