Well, a new set of images just dropped on X recently, revealing that the upcoming Pro model may actually come in black.
A post by@MajinBuofficiareveals the upcoming iPhone 18 in four physical-looking camera protection plates. Labeled in Chinese, the post says silver, wine red/cherry, blue, and black. Furthermore, the poster labeled the post by saying“iPhone 18 Pro colors confirmed.”
Recently, Macworldreportedthat Apple is currently developing a ‘Dark Cherry’ color. The report says their source cited four Pantone codes, which Apple has been internally developing. They include:
This report is slightly aligned with what the X user just posted about the new iPhone 18 colors. The only issue, however, is that the @MajinBuofficia account is disputed. According to claims, the original account doesn’t exist anymore.
Furthermore, some users said the poster is an impersonator. For instance,@phonefuturistsaid:“Bro steals news from my X, my telegram, and other low creators and shares it as a leak. He is an impersonator and not the original Majin Bu. Let’s stop this, it’s 2026.”With these claims, it’s worth taking the new leak about the iPhone 18 Pro colors with skepticism.
Looking at the leaked colors, it seems the black variant has the cleanest shot. It comes with a deep matte finish, which was lacking in previous models. The previousiPhone 17 modelscame with a silver option, which looks pretty much the same as the one in the new leak.
As for the dark cherry option, many stressed that it doesn’t look like wine. Instead, it looks more brownish, which reduces the excitement users have about the color. Looking deeper at the blue color, which sits lighter, one can easily conclude that the leak is a playful one.
So far, Apple has yet to make any announcement regarding the upcoming iPhone 18. However, rumors have it that three models: iPhone 18 Pro, Pro Max, and iPhone Fold, will be announced in September 2026. Until then, you should only take the leaks so far with a grain of salt. If, at all, there’s one color that has remained the same, it’s certainly the Dark Cherry iPhone 18 Pro color. Let’s wait and see whether Apple will truly bring us this amazing color in September.
