Scott M. Setek of Ronkonkoma, formerly of Riverhead, died April 11, 2026, at Stony Brook University Hospital. He was 53 years old.
He was born June 1, 1972, the son of Louis and Patricia (Droskoski) Setak. He graduated from Riverhead High School in 1990 and worked as a mechanic at Tire Country in Riverhead.
He enjoyed racing and loved his Yorkie, Dino, who was his constant companion, his family said.
Predeceased by his parents, he is survived by his sister, Deborah A. Fleming (Ken Heagy) of Calverton; his girlfriend, Penny DeFranco of Ronkonkoma; and his children, Derek Setek and Jayden Setek of North Carolina.
A memorial visitation will take place on Sunday, April 26, from 5 to 8 p.m. at McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead.
