Area school districts have finalized their candidate lists for the upcoming May 19 elections.

In the Herricks Union Free School District, five challengers are running for the two seats vacated by Trustees James Gounaris and Henry Zanetti, who are not seeking reelection.

The candidates for Gounaris’s seat are Lisa Iuculano and Eric Lo, a financial adviser who hasrun in the districtbefore. For Zanetti’s seat, the candidates are Nidhi Guru, neurologistRitech Ramdhani, andAthul Santhoush, a recent graduate.

The most recent board election had a turnout of about 800, according to the district.

In the New Hyde Park-Garden City Park Union Free School District, two seats are up for election. Board Vice President Danielle Messina is not seeking reelection, and as of the April 20 petition deadline, no candidate has submitted for consideration, according to the district.

The district did not provide details on the procedure for leaving a seat open when there are no candidates.

Trustee James Reddan is seeking reelection unopposed.

According to the district, the most recent board election had a turnout of about 690 voters.

Four candidates will compete for two seats on the Great Neck Public Schools Board of Education after the filing deadline closed at 5 p.m. Monday.

Incumbents Rebecca Sassouni and Joanne Chan are seeking reelection, while two first-time candidates — Marisa Brandeis Kermanian and Callie Ives — have entered the race.
