There’s good news and bad news. You’re in a fight, whether you asked for it or not. But if we suit up with what Christ himself supplied us, we’re going to win.
The ‘dies with the most toys wins’ crowd won’t want to hear this, but we’re really not called into a life of comfort. It’s a life where we need to cowboy up and realize we’ve got a very real and dangerous opponent that would like nothing better than to see us crash and burn.
Jesus himself warned that “in this life you will have trouble.” But he didn’t stop there, did he? Nope. He continued, “but be courageous—I’ve overcome the world!”
