A young woman sits in a comfortable London flat or a sleek New York apartment, scrolling her feed and convinced the world is rigged against her.

She holds a university degree, earns a solid paycheck, and enjoys better workplace opportunities than her male peers at the same age. Yet she feels profoundly unhappy, distrusts men, loathes her country, and views motherhood as optional at best.

This is not isolated frustration. It is a clear pattern repeating across Britain and America. The data expose a growing electoral force whose real motivations threaten the long-term survival of first-world nations.

Merlin Strategy, for the left-leaningNew Statesman,polled2,000 British adults aged 18 to 30. The results overturn the usual story.

The widening gender gap among the young comes far more from women moving sharply left than from men turning right. Among men under 30, 72 percent hold a positive view of women. Among women under 30, only 50 percent feel positive toward men, and the figure drops to 35 percent among women under 25.

Just 18 percent of women under 30 feel very positive about men, compared with 38 percent of men who feel very positive about women. More than 40 percent of young women say men do not share their understanding of consent, while only 25 percent of men say the same about women.

These attitudes shape daily choices.
