A massive fire broke out in a market near Gaur Chowk in the Crossings Republik police station area of Ghaziabad. Several fire engines were rushed to the spot. Thick smoke seen from far away as panic spreads among locals. The fire, as per the Fire Department, was suspected to have been caused by a short circuit.
This comes days after a fire tore through 150 to 200 shanties in Indirapuram in Ghaziabad on Thursday. The blazes escalated quickly, reportedly gripping shanties in the area. Several gas cylinders also exploded in the incident, making the situation more difficult. Meanwhile, locals grew concerned after observing thick black smoke emitting from the area. Firefighters, rescue teams, and other officials reached the spot soon after receiving the information. The operation to take down the fire is underway.
There was a huge devastation at the scene. However, no casualties have been reported so far.
