WHITLOCK: “What’s important to understand is just about five years ago: Virginians, we’re told the only way to protect democracy in this commonwealth worse to support an independent redistricting process in that process led to the fairest map in the country. There’s been a lot of studies that have shown this is the fairest map in the country and now we’re being told by Democrats. The only way to protect democracy from special interest is to throw out that map and replaced by one that was solely funded by out of state special interests and promoted by seventy million dollars from those out of state special interests, many of which also take for and dark money funding it it’s one of the most craven extreme partisan exercises.
