A medium-intensity earthquake struck Manipur's Kamjong on Tuesday morning (April 21). The intensity of the earthquake measured on the Richter Scale was 5.2. The epicentre of the quake was located at a depth of 62 km, according to the National Center for Seismology (NCS).

"EQ of M: 5.2, On: 21/04/2026 05:59:33 IST, Lat: 24.703 N, Long: 94.415 E, Depth: 62 Km, Location: Kamjong, Manipur," the NCS said in an X post. Panic gripped among locals after tremors were felt in the area.

So far there are no reports of any injuries or collateral damage. More details are still awaited.
