President Trump’s Labor Secretary Lori Chavez-DeRemer has resigned amid an investigation into her husband’s sexual misconduct in the latest Cabinet shakeup.
This is the third Cabinet official to leave in Trump’s second term.
Deputy Labor Secretary Keith Sonderling will replace Chavez-DeRemer as Acting Labor Secretary.
“Labor Secretary Lori Chavez-DeRemer will be leaving the Administration to take a position in the private sector,” White House Comms Director Steven Cheung said.
She has done a phenomenal job in her role by protecting American workers, enacting fair labor practices, and helping Americans gain additional skills to improve their lives,” Steven Cheung said.
