Macron decries blocking Strait of Hormuz as ‘mistake on both sides’

French PresidentEmmanuel Macronon Monday denounced the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz as “a mistake on both sides”.

“It is likely that, following the American decision to maintain a targeted blockade on Hormuz… the Iranian authorities changed their initial position… this is a mistake on both sides,” Emmanuel Macron told journalists in Gdansk, Poland.
